Anjunadeep and London duo Dusky celebrate the 10th anniversary of their debut album ‘Stick By This’, with a new deluxe edition product. The album will be released on vinyl for the first time along with two new remixes from the legendary Matthew Herbert and exciting Russian artist Maruwa.
Picking up glowing coverage in Resident Advisor, Mixmag and DJ Mag, along with being named by Pete Tong as “one of the albums of the year”, ‘Stick By This’ kickstarted Dusky's rise to the top of the UK underground scene. The album was followed by anthemic singles ‘Flo Jam’, ‘Calling Me’ and ‘Nobody Else’ putting Dusky at the centre of a new wave of UK talet, alongside Bicep, Midland and George FitzGerald.
10 years on, Dusky have just released their acclaimed third studio album ‘Joy’, on their own 17 Steps imprint, as well as continuing to tour globally from London, to Tokyo, to New York.
Anjunadeep Label boss James Grant reflects on the album:
“Whenever I gaze back through the Anjunadeep discography, Dusky’s “Stick By This” LP always jumps out as one of our timeless classics and represents a moment in time. The LP expanded our sonic horizons, launched Dusky on their trajectory as a respected leader of the UK house scene, and is one of those rare albums where every single track is worth its place. It’s all killer and no filler - a seamless, engaging listen from start to finish.”
Out today, the first remix comes courtesy of Matthew Herbert. A pioneering producer and composer, Herbert has remixed Quincy Jones, Björk, Trentemøller, DJ Koze and more. Filled with heavy basslines and Janai’s echoing vocals, Herbert transforms the original track into an 11 minute dub influenced mix labelled ‘Herber’ts Lost Dub’.
‘Stick By This’ (10th Anniversary Deluxe Edition) is available April 1 on Anjunadeep.
